Sponge Flan


Today I share with you an easy basic recipe for a Sponge Flan. You can fill the centre with whatever you like. For example homemade custard and fresh fruits!

Ingredients for a 28cm Flan:

5 medium eggs
10 tablespoon of flour
5 tablespoon of sugar
10 tablespoon of vegetal oil
1 packet of vanilla sugar 
2 ½ teaspoon of baking powder


Preparation time:

Prep: 5 min
Cook: 20 min

Directions:

Grease and flour a 28cm flan pan.  Preheat the oven at 175°C/350°F.  
 
In a medium bowl, stir the sugar, the vanilla sugar and the eggs until creamy. Add the vegetal oil and continue whisking. 
 
Sift the flour with the baking powder into the bowl and mix, until well blended. Pour the cake mixture into the flan pan.  
 
Bake the sponge flan for about 20 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. 

Let the flan cool out completly.
